RULES



1.  This is a boat / team tournament. For a single largest fish


2.  Entry fee by April 31,2010 is $325.00 May 1st entry increases to $375.00/Boat. Final deadline for entry is 6pm May 20th


3.  Entry Fees/Calcutta entry are NON-REFUNDABLE


4.  A captain meeting will be held Thursday, May 20th 7pm site TBA. A member of each team MUST be present at the meeting.  The Angler’s Application requires the Captain’s Signature, the Captain is responsible for  the safety and well being of all persons on his vessel



5.  If any crew member is under the age of 18, a Minor’s Registration form is required for each Minor.  This form can be found at www.mahidemayo.com



6.  Hours of fishing are:
     Lines in the water 7AM May 22, 2010
     You may depart from any inlet, but you must arrive at the scales by boat
     without making contact with land or any other vessel.
Scales open at 3:00pm
You must be in the weigh in line and checked in by radio and visible to the tournament dock master at Morningstar Marina, Mayport, Florida
No later than 5:00pm. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Official scale times are 3:00pm-7:00pm


7.  Weigh in will be held at Morningstar Marina, Mayport. You must approach outside dock at the marina to be met by tournament staff. Boat/team member must place fish on the dock and accompany staff to the scales


8.  Eligible species is Mahi/Dolphin


9.  Fish must be Hooked and landed on a single rod and reel. Electric reels, spearing, gigging, netting, or any other method of catch that violates any State or Federal law is strictly prohibited. Presence of prohibited gear on a boat will be considered evidence of use and will be considered grounds for disqualifying the boats catch.  All anglers are expected to follow all State and Federal laws that are applicable for safety and responsible boating


10. Willful violations of marine laws or other violations of safe conduct may lead to disqualification


11.  ALL participants are expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship and courtesy. Any participant who exhibit threatening behavior or who engages in disorderly, illegal, or improper conduct will be subject to immediate disqualification.

12.  All fish must be caught the day of the tournament May 22, 2010 and brought to the dock fresh. The tournament reserves the right to test any or all fish for freshness.


13.  Fish must be intact with no mutilation. It is the team/anglers responsibility to remove all foreign objects from the fish. Such objects include but not limited to hooks, leader, lures and ice and weights. Bait and hooks that have passed through the mouth and into the gullet may be left in place. All fish entered are subject to gut check and violations to the rule are subject to disqualification.


14.  Rule violations, the eligibility of entered anglers and fish, disqualifications and any other matter not covered by these rules will be decided by the tournament committee. The committee may disqualify and fish or participant who violates tournament rules.


15.  The decisions of the tournament committee are final and binding on all entrants.


16.  All entrants on the tournament are subject to polygraph. Refusal to take a polygraph will result in disqualification.


17.  Any and all protests must be in writing and submitted on May 22nd 7:00pm to the tournament committee with a $250.00 deposit. If the alleged violation is found to have occurred the deposit will be returned, if the tournament committee finds no violation the deposit will be not be refunded. The decision of the committee will be final.


18.  I agree to release and forever discharge Mahi de Mayo Fishing Tournament, CurrentProductions.US, all sponsors, contributors, participants, volunteers, producers, their agents, representatives, successors and assigns, subsidiaries, affiliates, related entities, predecessors, parent entities and their respective officers, directors, employees, administrators, agents, attorneys, insurers, representatives, affiliates, of all liabilities, claims, actions, causes of actions, demands, obligations, costs or expenses for bodily injury, death or property damages, which I may have against them arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in this Tournament, including but not limited to, all risks, known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, without regard to whether they are inherent in participating in a fishing tournament. I understand that this release is an unconditional, full and general release, which includes all claims whether caused by the gross or simple negligence, action or inaction of any of the released parties. I hereby authorize the use of my name and/or likeness as well as that of my vessel and all crew members, free of further consideration, for promotion and advertising purposes in any media form and reproduction, including but not limited to radio, television, newspaper, brochure, online or video. In have completely read and do understand all terms, conditions and rules that apply to this tournament and application.

19.  Weather day - the tournament committee has the right to postpone, delay, or move the tournament for reasons not limited to but including sea conditions or other weather related reason.


20.  All fish weighed become property of the tournament



Pay Out
Second-fifth place based on 40 boats. This is a progressive tournament payout system. For each additional 10 boats over 40 the payout increases for all prizes

    Fourth Place $500.00
    Fifth Place $250.00 



Wahoo / Tuna Calcutta
10% of the Calcutta will be donated to the Tournaments selected Charity
